Hale Bob Liberty GardenThe calendar said Fall, but it was a perfect summer-like a night to be poolside at a Sunset Boulevard estate in Beverly Hills for a festive fashion event showcasing the Hale Bob & Liberty Garden 2016 Spring/Summer collections.

For creator Daniel Bohbot, who founded Hale Bob more than 15 years ago, it was more than just a fashion show – it was a housewarming party as he opened the doors of his newly built home to colleagues, friends and fashionistas on October 8, during LA Fashion Week.

Guests enjoyed sushi and vegan dishes from caterer l.o.v.e., partaking of tacos, pizzas and wraps before the main event. The well-dressed crowd mixed and mingled in a poolside garden dressed with banquettes in signature Hale Bob prints.

Bohbot is well known for his vibrant patterns which are created at his Los Angeles studio. Some have called him the king of resort fashion. He says he gets his inspiration from exotic locales from around the globe– influences that were seen in both of the collections that were modeled down a runway built over the pool.

To appreciation and applause from the crowd came The Liberty Garden collection, 25 looks that drew their inspiration from nature in a palette of colors that included pale greens, pinks and nudes intermingled with great tones and earthy nutmeg. The pieces featured flower appliqués and dragonfly embroidery and prints on delicate laces along with beautifully patched suede pieces.

And there’s something even more special about the collection. For every piece purchased, Liberty Garden donates to Doctors Without Borders, providing funds to purchase life-saving malaria treatments that will be delivered by the international medical/humanitarian organization.

The tagline for the campaign is “Buy one piece. Change one life.” That alone is inspiration to go all in.

The next part of the show was dedicated to 32 riveting looks from Hale Bob. Out floated models in sexy, sheer maxi dresses, silk chiffon tunics and Bohbot’s trademark kaftans, some trailing lust-worthy matching luggage. Bikinis and printed pants were also part of the collection and guarantee the wearer head-turns on beaches from Bali to Malibu to the French Riviera.

The guest list included fans of the brand Anna Trebunskaya (“Dancing With The Stars”), Nevin Millan (“Being Bin Laden”), Ariane Andrew (E!’s “Total Divas WWE”), Carla Gonzalez (Former Ms. United Nations International), Emily Kincaid (Bob Dylan’s “Visions of Johanna”), Danisha Danielle Wrighster (FOX’s “Home Free), Josette Banzet (Socialite), Meagan Tandy(MTV’s “Teen Wolf), Meegan Warner (AMC’s “Turn”), Nicole Williams (E!’s “WAGS”), Niki Koss (“Scouts Guide To Zombie Apocalypse”) Otis Williams (The Temptations), Ron Robinson(Founder of Ron Robinson Boutiques), Ralph Rieckermann (Scorpion’s guitarist), Shawn & Claire Buitendorp (VH-1’s “Twinning), Shaun Robinson (“Access Hollywood”), Tichina Arnold (“Survivor’s Remorse”) and Toks Olagundoye (“Castle”).

All guests left with a parting gift of colorful Hale Bob flip flops and a vibrant print scarf.
