GBK Productions ‘Golden Affair’ Celebrates the 75th Golden Globe Awards

AlanCumming at GBKAptly titled “A Golden Affair,” GBK Productions celebrated the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards in a glitzy two-day luxury lounge held January 5-6 at the Montage Beverly Hills.

In keeping with the theme, it was all about the gold as celebrities, VIPs and tastemakers were gifted with golden items, beginning as they entered the private event, when guests were handed a flute of Blue Nun 24K Edition, a sparkling wine flecked with gold flakes from the noted German winemaker, which sponsored the lounge. The wine comes in a box shaped like a bar of gold and the company had a stunning display of them stacked sky-high.

Among the attendees were Randy Jackson, Dinah James (Fifth Harmony), Doug Jones (Nominated Movie: Shape of Water), Lotte Verbeek (“Outlander”, “Blacklist”), Mara Wilson (“Matilda”) Teala Dunn (“Guilty Party”), Zack Ward (“transformers”, “A Christmas Story”), Shanola Hampton (“Shameless”) Ashley LeConte (Nominated Movie: “Get Out”), Asia Monet Ray (Actress/Digital Inluencer), Anthony Anderson (Nominated Show: “Black-ish”) Pollyanna McIntosh (“The Walking Dead”) and Sam Humphrey (Nominated: “The Greatest Showman).

About 40 other brands participated in the festive soirée.

Too Faced Chocolate GoldToo Faced Cosmetics presented its new Chocolate Gold collection, a suite of beautiful products including an eyeshadow palette, a shimmery gold lip gloss and a gold-flecked bronzer in a gorgeous compact. Also available, the brand’s popular Better Than Sex mascara, a must-have for anyone’s cosmetics kit. The company also provided make-up touchups from its team of expert artists.

Another popular service was the massages provided by Burke Williams spa, which also showcased skincare products.

The Artisan Group – a collection of artists from all over the country– is always a favorite with GBK guests. This year, there were eclectic, handmade designs from jewelry makers including VyBrant Accessories, CY Design Studio, Designed by Stacey, Mojo Owl and Dakota Designs Studio along with unique and customizable stationery and cards from Zazzle and BeezKneezDesigns, spa and bath products, cosmetics, candles and other handmade items.

Additional hot products: Mymanu Clik, wireless earbuds with live translation of 35 languages and most pristine sound quality. original artwork by LMK Art, hand-made exquisite golden jewelry from California by BOPULENT and a savvy travel kit from Noshinku, which included the company’s brand new premium hand sanitizer made with spa-quality organic ingredients.

Randy Jackson at GBKGuests also received wireless Vinci headphones with 3D recording and fitness sensors, the Avocado Sock, an ingenious, all-natural and effective way to speed up the ripening process of an avocado to ensure a perfectly ripe avocado every single time,  the CO2Lift by Lumisque, a carboxy therapy treatment mask that lifts, hydrates and rejuvenates skin and handbags from a Avery Verse, an Australian-based leather goods company. And then there was Kinetic Magic, showcasing their 13-foot screen with an immersive augmented realty video projection system, a perfect way for recipients to entertain guests at future parties and events with interactive visuals highlighting beautifully stylized versions of themselves dancing and painting on a large life-size screen, valued at over $7,000.

Another major gift: a five night stay at Royal Hideaway Playacar in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, courtesy of lifestyle magazine Caribbean Living.

Food and drink was in abundance from LA Greek restaurant Good Greek Grill and Moraga Vineyards wines, which paired beautifully with the Greek creations. Hiro Blue Junmai Ginjo Sake poured their super premium Japanese “Golden Sake” that is crafted in Niigata Japan and naturally gluten free, sulfite free and low in calories.

The nonprofit organization Food on Foot was also on hand, telling attendees about its mission to help the poor and homeless of Los Angeles through programs that provide nutritious meals, clothing, work opportunities and ultimately the transition to full-time employment and safe housing.

ADM Entertainment’s Adam Gomez was the DJ for the event, adding beats to the festivities synched with Nanoleaf’s The Rhythm, which makes it possible to see sound, visually remastering music into animated displays of color and light.
