The scene at the Four Seasons for the TAO Pre-Oscar Lounge
From social media to IRL–to the Academy Awards. TAO, a company expert in social, took the plunge into real life big time, with its first ever pre-Oscar lounge.
TAO Social Media set up shop at the Four Seasons Hotel on Doheny Drive—known as the epicenter of awards season for all of the A-list out-of-towners who make the luxurious digs their home away from home.
There was no way that anyone planning the TAO Social Media Pre-Oscar Lounge could have foreseen the huge deluge that rained down upon the Los Angeles area Friday of Oscar weekend.
But the weather did nothing to dampen the spirits, and we also mean spirits of the Veuve Clicquot variety, of the festive event, a one-afternoon-only good time that made guests forget about the downpour.
Organic bedding from Sleep & Beyond
A large number of celebrities made the scene, including Chris Noth, Babyface, RJ Mitte, Amaury Nolasco, Ernie Hudson, Isaiah Washington, Jordin Sparks, Kelsea Ballerini, Roland Martin and Sofia Milos. TAO Social Media founder Rafi Anteby organized the event.
As guests made their way through the venue, they were greeted by reps of about 25 brands. Among the sought-after gifts were premium denim from Los Angeles-based Parker Smith, GPS tracking devices from Trackimo, sheets, comforters and pillows from Sleep & Beyond, military inspired clothing from Virtus, a veteran-owned outdoor apparel company, necklaces and bracelets designed by Bullets 4 Peace, skincare products from Jeunesse, gift certificates from Dr. Nathan Newman, Orly nail polish and cuticle oil and singing bowls from Dipankara Buddah.
Other vendors included Erewhon, which provided the organic food at the event and is soon opening a new store in Santa Monica, Avacen, Magic Stir, MK Design, Smart Cat Home, Ron Thompson, Jason Bond Picks, mystic journey crystals, Lasky, Dherbs and Westin Maui Resort & Spa.
And speaking of spirits, there were plenty to lift them from Ving Vodka and Mood Swing Wines.
