Ice, Ice Baby
It’s not Rockefeller Center, but it’s probably the most scenic outdoor skating rink in Southern California, with colorful designs painted by the same schoolchildren who did the lifeguard stations so beautifully this past summer. Put on your blades and hit up the colorful ICE in Santa Monica, after the Zamboni makes the 8,000 square foot rink nice and smooth. Ten bucks buys you admission and includes your skate rental. The rink is open from 10 a.m. until midnight every day, including Christmas, through February 15.
