What better way to set yourself apart from the Emmy fray than by having your event a full week before the awards craziness rolls into full swing?

That’s what Doris Bergman did for her Third Annual Primetime Emmys Style Lounge held on September 12 at West Hollywood’s Café La Bohème. The beautiful venue was filled with pre-awards buzz as about 100 celebrity guests, Emmy nominees and former winners, presenters, stylists and industry  VIPs crowded in to check out the latest luxury products from slew of hand-picked vendors that set up shop in the restaurant and its mezzanine.

Outside, a delicious lunch of a variety of field to table salads– perfect for the toasty summer afternoon– poached salmon and prime rib served on the patio.

The event was hosted by Qmadix, presented by Whitening Lightning and co-produced by Michelle Faulkner. It provided an array of fashion items for men and women, the finest in body and skin care, the newest in electronics, custom hats, fabulous footwear, stunning jewelry, unique timepieces, and exotic cocktails.

The guest list included Primetime Emmy nominees Mare Winningham (‘Hatfields & McCoys’), Dot Marie Jones (‘Glee’), Jason Ritter (‘Parenthood’), Ben Feldman (‘Mad Men’), Stacey Tookey (‘So You Think You Can Dance’), Cleopatra Coleman (‘Step Up Revolution’), Abby Lee Miller (‘Dance Moms’), Fiona Gubelmann (‘Wilfred’), Carolyn Hennessy (‘True Blood’), Jamar Rogers (‘The Voice’), Jean-Luc Bilodeau & Melissa Peterman (‘Baby Daddy’), Nicholas Guest and Sean McNabb (‘Sons of Anarchy’), William Shatner, Eva LaRue, Richard Grieco, Reid Scott (‘Veep’), RJ Mitte (‘Breaking Bad’), LisaRaye McCoy and Victoria Rowell (‘Single Ladies’).

But it wasn’t all about gifting. In the spirit of giving back, guests donated new, and unwrapped gifts for children ages 13-17 for a Pre-Holiday Gift Drive benefiting ‘Wednesday’s Child,’ a weekly segment airing on KTTVFOX11 News, Los Angeles, with Anchor Christine Devine.

If you haven’t seen these segments, grab for the Kleenex box when you do. ‘Wednesday’s Child’ highlights ‘harder to place’ children in the LA County foster care system who are in need of adoptive families to give them a stable home and the love they deserve.

“In Los Angeles County alone, there are over 35,000 children receiving child welfare services,” says LA social worker William Wong.  “Bergman’s event reached far beyond the Hollywood ‘glitz’ and into the heart and soul.  Gift donations to the ‘Wednesday’s Child’ Pre-Holiday Gift Drive from event sponsors has been overwhelming and, most importantly, we have formed new relationships that will extend outside of today. Additionally, Bergman invited two foster children to join in on the festivities and experience what it felt like to be treated as aVIP. The love from the sponsors was tremendous,” added Wong.

The sponsors who provided gifts and services included Roadkill Ranch, Handmade Hearts, Nature’s Flavors, Twisted Silver, Michael Marcus Cosmetics, Baron Hats, Nu-4-You Eye Make-up Fallout Protector, Radar Watches, Nitrocream, LLC, Undiepads, Spongeables, Honest Tea, LusciousS Jewelry, Prana SpaCeuticals, Model In A Bottle, Chocolate Shop Wine, Bon Bon Home, Spontuneous Games, Inc., Terox Footwear, Ali Rahimi for Mon Atelier, SimulTALK, Total Healthy Lifestyle, Art Lewin Executive Clothiers, Ollin Arm Candy, Whirl-A-Style, Hoodswagaa London, KIND Snacks, CA Madpoppers, Lance Christopher Hair Salon, Cotz FaceSPF40 Sunscreen, Crunch, Book Beanie, It’s A Glam Thing and Sweet 1985.
