Emmy nominees who didn’t take home a statuette at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards got some other consolation prizes– bags full of them.

One of the most sought-after invites on the gifting trail is the HBO Luxury Lounge—this was its 10th annual edition– held again this year at a place that’s always a center of awards season buzz, The Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.

Produced by Mediaplacement and sponsored by L’Oreal Paris and Motorola, the lounge featured a parade of celebrities in a private environment that featured  beauty services (L’Oreal), booze (Basil Hayden  super premium bourbon), along with the latest products from top brands including Nautica, Brahmin Handbags, DL1961 premium denim, Logitech, Pandora, Michael Antonio vegan footwear and the James Hotel.

HBO talent obviously made up a huge contingent of the guest list, and included Boardwalk Empire’s big man and lead drama actor contender Steve Buscemi, Chris McDonald, Michael Stuhlbarg, Terence Winter and Vincent Piazza, Veep’s Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Frank Rich, Tim Simons, Anna Chlumsky, Chris Godsick and Tony Hale, Game of Thrones’ George R.R. Martin, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley and Richard Madden, Enlightened’s Amy Hill and Mike White, Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Susie Essman, The Newsroom’s Adina Porter, True Blood’s Chris Bauer, Janina Gavankar, Kristin Bauer Van Straten, and Lauren Bowles, Hung’s Gregg Henry, Entourage’s Perrey Reeves and Rex Lee, Eastbound and Down’s Jennifer Irwin, Andrew Daly, Treme’s Kim Dickens and Luck’s Kerry Condon. (Ah, dearly departed Luck, such a shame….)

Others celebrities and nominees attending the suite: Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito, RJ Mitte and Mark Margolis, Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville, Brendan Coyle and Joanne Froggatt, Dancing with the Stars’ Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Karina Smirnoff and Shawn Johnson, Homeland’s Jackson Pace, 30 Rock’s Keith Powell and Scott Adsit, Mad Men’s Semi Chellas, Janet Leahy, Kevin Rahm, Rich Sommer, Randee Heller, Matt Weiner, Erin Levy and Maria Jacquemetton, Nurse Jackie’s Edie Falco, The Big Band Theory’s Melissa Rauch, Homeland’s Morgan Saylor, So You Think You Can Dance’s Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe, Hatfield & McCoys’ Mare Winningham, The Good Wife’s Chris Noth, Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Lisa Vanderpump, The New Normal’s Andrew Rannells and Bebe Wood, Glee’s Dot Marie Jones, Vanessa Lengies and Becca Tobin, Chelsea Lately’s Chuy Bravo and Heather MacDonald, Breaking Dawn’s Booboo Stewart, Finding Cody’s Cody Simpson, The Office’s Kate Flannery, Brian Baumgartner and Creed Bratton, Covert Affairs’ Emmanuelle Vaughier, The Big C’s Gabriel Basso, Flipping Out’s Jenni Pulos, Parks and Recreation’s Jim O’Heir, Justified’s Joelle Carter, Million Dollar Listing’s Josh Flagg, Boss’ Kathleen Robertson, The Insider’s Samantha Harris, Community’s Yvette Brown,  Guys with Kids’ Anthony Anderson and Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23’s Ray Ford.

We hear they’re all still unpacking all their new stuff.

Over at the nearby Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, it was another hot gifting scene on the penthouse patio and inside–where it was probably hotter than it was outside.

Trendsetting brands, including many from Europe, are the hallmark of Nathalie Dubois’ DPA lounges, with this one coming on the heels of her event at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Those on the exclusive guest list got pampered with on-trend fashions from Eva Varro and Elle Pour L, and reversible jeans from Bleulab that featured animal prints on one side and slick black on the other which you’ll soon be seeing all over town.

The St. Regis was on hand with stays at its luxury properties. On the beauty side, there was Natural Face vegan cosmetics, Sechoir Salon on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica was doing on the spot touch ups and hand massages and Jasdamour Parfums made everything smell sweet.

Speaking of sweet, ChocoVivo and Dave’s Midnight Bakery satisfied the desire for delicious dessert items. Popchips–and who can ever get enough of those–were also part of the program.

Cecilie Melli dazzled with her fine jewelry collection, some of which was later seen on the red carpet.

All the way up into the hills of Beverly– almost into the hotter than hell San Fernando Valley and through the gates into the exclusive community of Beverly Park—Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Adrienne Maloof lent her sprawling manse for the Beauty Retreat sponsored by Softcups.

There were Zing vodka cocktails, Yoplait key lime Greek yogurt and gallons of iced beverages to mitigate the heat that, pardon the expression, put a bit of a damper on things– at least as far as energy levels are concerned.

We’ve never heard so many people in Los Angeles complain that they were about to faint from heatstroke on the scorching Thursday afternoon — until we got to the BAFTA party on the rooftop of West Hollywood’s London hotel on Saturday.

But back to the beauty bash. Extreme heat didn’t stop The Painted Nail ladies from doing dozens of mini manicures and even some nail art with their eponymous line of sparkly polishes. We love the lilac shade called Amy. Colorescience was also on hand with its mineral makeup powders–the perfect cosmetic for a hot summer afternoon where you wanted to look your best, despite the sweat.
