Oscar Weekend. In addition to bringing home that highly coveted little gold man, it’s all about glitz, glam–and the goodies.

GBK Productions always comes up with the best in class for its GBK Pre-Oscars Luxury Lounge. This year for its highly anticipated annual edition of the event, it set up shop at the Kimpton La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood, tucked away just up the street from a number of celebrity hotspots, including Craig’s.

The high-profile guest list at GBK included past Oscar winners Spike Lee and Marcia Gay Harden and past Oscar nominee Cicely Tyson.

Marcia Gay Harden and The Artisan Group

They and other celebrity and VIP guests at the two-day event Friday and Saturday before the Academy Awards were gifted with some of this year’s hottest trips and gifts worth more than $60K.

Among those who attended were many of this year’s Oscar nominees and celebrities included the cast of 1917 and stars and nominees of the Oscar-nominated films Star Wars, Harriet, Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood, The Irishman, Knives Out and 2020 Oscar Presenter Zack Gottasgen.

They were presented with gifts of clothing from Dapper and Dashing tuxedoes, which also does suits and gowns for every occasion, Parasuco denim—darn, I miss their physical store in NYC’s Soho—jeans from a company with over 45 years of innovating washing techniques, refined finishes and cutting edge style.

The gift bag from The Artisan Group is always filled with gorgeous handmade items and this year was no exception. Participating jewelry designers included Alyce N Maille, Inchoo Bijoux, Kristala, Ivory & Thyme, Sweet Tea and Sisters, Metals & Pieces and DTailsULike by Jennifer DV. Artisanal bath, body and home fragrance products were by Three Sisters Apothecary and Olivu426.

Some of the trips given included a stay at Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos via Swanky Retreats, a stay at Fit Farm, the nation’s premiere fitness retreat in the hills of Nashville, a stay at The Mansion Bali and a stay at a private retreat in Fiji.

Other brands that were gifting sought-after items included California Caviar, John Kelly Chocolate with premium award-winning chocolates, Malibu Safari Wine, Nu U Skin Solutions’ handcrafted organic body butters and scrubs, Little Something Sweet yummy artisan cakes and handcrafted deserts, AKA Cosmetic’s face and lash serums, PFB Vanish skincare, Upgrade Labs for cognitive and physical fitness, Palmina Wine and Sue Phillips with her House of Fragrance Scenterprises custom fragrances.

GBK Productions always aligns with deserving charities and this year’s spotlighted Global Green and Stray Cat Alliance. Reps for both, including two sets of adorable felines, were onsite to chat with the celebrities attending.  Music for the event was provided by ADM Entertainment and Mosaic Public Relations secured the talent and media.
