Scary Sweetness at American Horror Story’s Night Bites Bakery

You better get these goodies while they’re hot! Fans of FX’s American Horror Story and its new spinoff, American Horror Stories, are lining up to get into the pop-up location of AHS Night Bites Bakery in Los Angeles after a sold-out run in New York City.

But by the time you read this, the LA edition of August 11-14 may be sold out as well– although we have it on good authority that more dates may be added. The nocturnal bakery operates only from 7-10:30 p.m. each night.

The good news either way is you’ll be able to order exclusive cookie drops from the online bakery at ahsnightbites.com each week. There will end up being batches of ten different cookies.

Full disclosure: we were invited by FX to attend a preview event at the bakery and left with a box filled with three limited edition horror-themed cookies inspired by AHS’s upcoming 10th installment, Double Feature, as well as previous seasons including Apocalypse, Hotel and Freak Show.

What we can tell you is only a few guests are allowed at a time into the dimly bit bakery where they are welcomed by a polite yet somewhat scary employee where they are directed to peruse the six available cookies – and then to place their order.

It is promptly delivered by yet another character, someone you would probably not wish to run into in a dark alley. Meanwhile, appropriately foreboding music plays throughout the venue.

It’s a unique and scarily sensory experience. Before we got safely out the door, they asked us to tell you this: The Night Bites Baker concept was baked fresh by FX in collaboration with NVE Experience Agency and Funny Face Bakery. The health and safety of fans, staff and partners involved in the experience is a priority and all precautions will be implemented beyond guidelines set forth by national, state, local health officials and FX.

Also, a third location for the bakery was just announced for Provincetown, Mass.
