It was a picture-perfect day before the ESPY Awards to celebrate on the rooftop of West Hollywood’s LaPeer Hotel for Teqball USA’s luxury lounge, presented by GBK Brand Bar and Los Angeles Magazine.

The sun-dappled penthouse was taken over by ESPY nominees and presenters, celebrities and top athletes including former Lakers great James Worthy and Major League Baseball star David Justice.

They and other VIP guests at the day-long event received more than $40,000 worth of gifts. Among the comfortable items: a game table from Teqball USA – to be given to the talent’s favorite school or charity, a five night African safari from Lush African Safari, an ocean front villa from Sailrock Resort, PHASE Activewear, a $5,000 certificate from LA SMILE dentistry and Signal Relief patches for pain relief, perfect for injured sports stars and everyday athletes.

For those not familiar, Teqball is an international sport founded by Gábor Borsányi. It is played on a specially curved table (the TEQ™ table), and it is the fastest growing sport in the US–attracting a new generation of athletes and amateur enthusiasts (teqers), whose ambition is to develop technical skills, concentration and stamina.

And who doesn’t need that?

A number of them played Teqball on the specially curved table while others have their fun at a pickleball court set up by House of Pickleball.
