Sparkle, Spirits & Stars: The DPA Talent Lounge Before the Emmys

The Emmy Awards may have been the main event, but over the weekend before, the real buzz was happening up on Sunset. On September 12 and 13, Nathalie Dubois-Sissoko and DPA once again transformed The Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel into a glittering playground of indulgence, unveiling five lavish suites and a tucked-away garden filled with luxury products, global brands, and a few irresistible surprises.

Guests wandered through a curated wonderland that mixed high design, wellness, travel, and just the right dose of decadence. Tahitian pearls from Miliani Creations dazzled in one corner, while the Martinique Corner offered banana-based skincare from Kadalys, handmade clutches from Niyah, and sweet bites from Chocolaterie Frères Lauzea. From craft cocktails with Coit Spirit’s tea-infused gins to decadent marshmallows, rum tastings, and even popcorn and baked goods, the lounge felt like the chicest international street market—only with facials, massages, and luxury vacations tucked in between.

Speaking of vacations, a handful of lucky guests could walk away with dreamy escapes, including a stay at Ayada Maldives or Relais & Châteaux’s Le Taha’a by Pearl Resorts in French Polynesia. Agua Caliente Casinos also brought a taste of the desert with spa passes, luxe hotel stays, and a nod to their award-winning resorts and Forbes-rated spas.

The lounge wasn’t just about indulgence—it had heart, too. Homeboy Industries, the groundbreaking gang rehabilitation and reentry program, catered bites through its Homegirl Café and shared its mission with guests, proving that even amid all the sparkle, there’s always room for soul.

Of course, this being Emmy weekend, the guest list sparkled just as brightly as the jewelry on display. Nominees and those who eventually scored a statuette at Sunday’s ceremony stopped by to sip, sample, and celebrate, from beloved producers and writers to breakout actors and Hollywood veterans.

Whether picking up red-carpet-ready skincare from Glo by Me, chatting wellness with Dr. Alejandro Junger, or eyeing a quick weekend in Bora Bora, attendees agreed: DPA knows how to turn an awards season tradition into a fantastic event.
