Nominations are out for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy’s announcement shook up expectations, highlighted rising stars and veterans alike, and left a few top artists looking in from the sidelines.

Kendrick Lamar leads this year’s nominations with nine, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for his album “GNX”.
Close behind are Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut with seven each, while Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leon Thomas earned six apiece.
Bad Bunny’s Spanish-language album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” continues the Grammys’ embrace of global sounds.

The 68th Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and broadcast live.
Eligibility ran from August 31, 2024 to August 30, 2025. Two new categories debuted this year: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover.

The Weeknd’s “Hurry Up Tomorrow” and Lorde’s “Virgin” were both overlooked despite strong critical praise.

Rising artists, including KATSEYE and the fictional K‑pop group HUNTR/X, broke through in major fields, signaling the Academy’s expanding horizons.
Meanwhile, country traditionalists gained a new home in the revamped category list.

With the ceremony schedule for February 1, 2026, the big question remains—can Kendrick Lamar finally seize Album of the Year, or will Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny,
or a surprise contender rewrite Grammy history?
