Feeling Really Charitable About a Saks Shopping Spree

It’s not every night that you could have free reign of the store at Saks Fifth Avenue after hours – and hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and Champagne to boot – not to mention complimentary polish changes and blowouts.

It was all part of a special evening, put on by the philanthropic Society of Los Angeles to kick off a campaign called Send Your Love to a Cause.

For the month of September, every time you charge something on your SFA credit card, 5% of it goes to a charity that you choose amongst the Red Cross, the Children’s Institute or the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles.

The two-hour event just wasn’t enough time to get much beyond the ground floor of the Beverly Hills location of the grand department store with its renowned shoe, cosmetics and jewelry counters that back in with beautiful gemstones and both timeless and contemporary designs.

And check out those sparkly Christian Louboutin platform heels. Then, take out your calculator and figure out what 5% of $3,995 is.
