Variety celebrated its Power of Women: New York issue with Susan Sarandon on the cover at a festive luncheon at Cipriani Midtown on April 25.
Among 300+ the guests, Sarah Jessica Parker, Katie Couric, Idina Menzel, Claire Danes, Gayle King, Debra Lee, Zac Posen, Christy Turlington, Iman, Josh Groban and Nancy Dubuc.
In partnership with A&E’s new television network, FYI, Variety feted some of the entertainment industry’s most philanthropic women, who were selected as Variety’s “Inspiration Impact Honorees.” Through their humanitarian efforts, these women have made a significant difference to their chosen causes.
The exclusive luncheon hosted guests comprised of entertainment and media insiders, who came to celebrate, support and pay tribute to the philanthropic efforts of these amazing women. The afternoon also included VIP pre- and post-ceremony cocktail receptions, with an interactive “Philanthropy Bazaar” designed to engage guests with the featured charities and participating brand sponsors, including FYI, HTC One, American Airlines, Crystal Light, Movado and NYDJ.
