The Southern California winter weather could not have been more perfect for the annual GBK Golden Globes luxury gift lounge held over two days on the rooftop and poolside at the exclusive hideaway hotel, L’Ermitage in Beverly Hills.
The festive atmosphere was ideal for celebrities and guests to indulge in products and services from dozens of vendors who gifted participants with everything ranging from jewelry to electronics to cosmetics, skincare, gourmet foods and beverages.
Celebrity attendees included Sally Hawkins, nominated for best supporting actress in “Blue Jasmine,” Helene Yorke (Masters of Sex), Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation), Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Martha Plimpton (The Good Wife), RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), Shea Wigham (The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle),Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine),Kelsey Scott (12 years a slave) and Elsie Fisher (Despicable Me 2).
DJ Don P provided the beats and title sponsor Pilot Pen gifted a selection of their fine writing instruments like the Black Matte Vanishing Point and the Pilot MR Metropolitan Collection Silver Ballpoint Pen.
Another popular item: a must-have for any red carpet and Globe afterparties—Spanx– for both men and women.
Other celebrity-favorite products at the event included premium bedding toppers from presenting sponsor, airweave, a Japanese brand which just launched in the US. Trips to exotic locations have become a signature GBK Lounge gift, and this year the celebrities received gift certificates to stay at The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort and an all-inclusive trip to the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana.
Other great gifts included a goodie bag filled with artisan-crafted jewelry, spa and bath products, fine art photography and accessories from the artists from all over the country who band together as The Artisan Group, signature tweezers and grooming products from Tweezerman and Barbar hair tools.
Jewelry is always a prime part of the mix at GBK, and always a highlight for guests.
This year’s event featured pieces from Fiamma Jewelry, Threaded Creations, Luminita, g Made By Survivors and theCoordinates Collection, gifting their Gold Legend Bracelet– with the latitude and longitude of the Beverly Hilton engraved in them– a beautiful keepsake for the Golden Globes.
Refreshments and gourmet gifts were provided by Kyra’s Bake Shop featuring delicious gluten-free treats, Yoplait Greek in a variety of delicious flavors including blueberry and raspberry, Bulgarini Gelato, Rollin’ Rib BBQ, bringing their slow cooked smoked BBQ flavor to attending guests, Sabra hummus and dips and V Wine, which gave out select Wine Club Memberships to their tasting room, which features wine from more than 20 California boutique wineries. Other food and beverage delicacies include Brownie Brittle, COMBOS Baked Snacks, Marathon Bars, Matt’s Munchies, Pasta Chips, popchips, and VitaCoco.
As always, there is a giving back aspect proceeds from the event going to GUARDaHEART Foundation, a non-profit foundation dedicated to raising awareness of heart disease and Lambda Legal, which works for equality on behalf of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people.
